Pleat Styles
When choosing your pleat style, make sure to weigh the importance of both functionality and aesthetics.
Pinch Pleat
Pinch Pleat Draperies are an extremely popular style, and are classically beautiful. The drapery fabric is formed into a "flute" and is hung using drapery pins. This forms a more defined "accordion" look that works well in formal spaces like dining areas or sitting rooms, or with traditional decor.
While this pleat is traditional, you can use it in a more contemporary space by playing with color and pattern.
We offer Single, Double, and Triple Pinch Pleats.

Tab Top
Tab top drapes have exposed loops (tabs) of fabric sewn into or onto the panel's top seam. These tabs are drawn through a curtain or rod pole, and the panel hangs flat from these tabs. This is an extremely common style, and you see it on many drapes.
This window treatment is a good way to showcase fabric prints and patterns, and works with many casual decorating styles.
A note about this pleat style is that these panels are normally stationary, since drawing them across the rod can become a burden. Therefore, this pleat style should be selected for windows that aren't opened regularly.
Box Pleat
Ripple Fold
Ripple Fold Drapery is a sleek and modern style that is also functional and easy to operate. This design might be a great choice if you plan to open and close your drapes each day, because the fabric moves smoothly along a track. This drapery makes sense if you have sliding glass doors because of this.
Another option is to layer your Ripple Fold Drapery by layering sheer materials with a heavier draper in order to add depth and dimension to your room.
Button Pinch Pleat
The button pinch pleat is a sophisticated twist on the Pinch Pleat, and is usually implemented on the French/Triple Pinch Pleat.
Goblet Pleat
Soft and elegant, Goblet Pleated drapes add formality, particularly when complemented by architectural hardware. Because this pleat is formal, it best suits a master bedroom, dining room or sitting room. This delicate pleat is recommended to be used as stationary side panels.
Grommet
Curtains with a grommet top have metal rings punched into the fabric that allow them to slide along the rod easily. This makes Grommet Curtains the perfect fit for draperies you want to open and close every day. They're especially good for wide windows or sliding glass doors where heavy fabric can be difficult to open.
The grommet rings create a ripple fold when you feed them on to the rod, so they form uniform pleats without ruining your drapes.
We offer grommet rings in Antique Brass, Gold, Silver, and Antique Silver.
